Terms of Service
Effective October 4, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Stint (“Stint,” “we,” “us”) for using the Stint app and website. By creating an account or using Stint, you agree to them. If you use Stint for a team or business, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
Racing is dangerous. Stint is a notebook.
Stint records the setups, conditions, and results you enter and shows you what changed. It does not tell you how to set up or maintain a vehicle, and nothing in Stint is engineering, safety, or mechanical advice. Weather is supplied by a third party and may be wrong or missing. You alone are responsible for your vehicle, its setup, and your safety and others' on and off the track. Check every setting yourself before you drive.
Your account
- You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian agree to these terms for you. Stint isn't for children under 13.
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details to yourself.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us right away at support@stintracing.app if you think someone else has access to it.
Teams
Data in Stint belongs to a team. The person who creates a team is its owner and the only one who pays for it. Everyone on a team can view and edit the team's cars, events, and sessions. Owners on the Team plan can invite and remove members; members can leave at any time. When someone leaves or is removed, the sessions they logged stay with the team. Only invite people you trust with your setups.
Your content
You own the setups, notes, and other content you put into Stint. You give us permission to store, process, and display it only as needed to run Stint for you and your team, and to make backups. We don't claim ownership of it and we don't sell it.
Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, and don't put other people's personal information into notes without their permission.
Plans, trials, and billing
- Stint is offered on paid plans, billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. Current prices are on the pricing page.
- Free trial: new teams get a 10-day free trial, once per team. A card is required to start it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged automatically when it ends. We email a reminder before that happens.
- Automatic renewal: your plan renews at the end of each billing period and is charged to your card on file until you cancel.
- Loyalty pricing: your price steps down the longer you stay, as shown on the pricing page. A step-down applies from the next billing period. We may change our prices for the future, but we will give you at least 30 days' notice before a change affects your plan, and we won't take away loyalty steps you've already earned while your plan stays active.
- Pausing: monthly plans can pause for up to 4 months in any 12. While paused you aren't charged and your team's data is read-only.
- Cancelling: cancel any time in Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then ends. If you come back within 7 days, you keep your loyalty rate; after that it starts over.
- Refunds: payments aren't refundable, including for partial billing periods, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails, Stripe will retry it and you keep access meanwhile. If it still can't be collected, your plan ends as if you had cancelled.
- Prices don't include taxes; you pay any taxes that apply.
When a plan ends or is paused, we don't delete your data. You can still sign in and view your history; you just can't add or change anything until you resume or resubscribe.
Beta
Stint is new. Some features are labeled beta or are still changing, and things may break or work differently over time. We're grateful for feedback at support@stintracing.app; if you send ideas, we may use them without owing you anything for them.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- break the law or anyone's rights using Stint;
- try to access other teams' data or get around Stint's security or plan limits;
- overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the service, or use it to build a competing one;
- share your account or resell access to Stint.
We may suspend accounts that do, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using Stint and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop offering Stint, in which case we'll give reasonable notice and a chance to export your data where we can.
Disclaimers
Stint is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise Stint will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data (including weather) will be accurate or complete. Keep your own copy of anything critical.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Stint won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, race results, or vehicle damage, arising from your use of Stint. Our total liability for any claim relating to Stint is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of content you put into Stint or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, and both of us agree to their jurisdiction. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll email account holders or show a notice in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Stint after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel.
General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Stint. If a part turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. You can't transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a sale or reorganization of Stint.
